Vibra en Alta Foundation and Glasswing International Announce Partnership to Support Youth in Colombia

The Vibra en Alta Foundation, led by global artist J Balvin, is partnering with Glasswing International to bring educational opportunities to young people in Medellín, Colombia. During Glasswing’s 10th Annual Gala, model and entrepreneur Valentina Ferrer announced this collaboration, which will increase access to mental health and educational programs at public schools.

The project will be implemented over three years as part of Glasswing’s Community Schools program, which builds student confidence, skills, and learning potential through extracurricular programs, student leadership, remedial education, trauma-informed care for mental well-being, and mentor-mentee relationships, along with infrastructural improvements and community engagement initiatives for parents and caregivers.

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership. We will continue to create opportunities for young people and their families and build pathways of hope so that youth can transform their communities while resonating with who they are,” said Gregorio Londoño, Executive Director of the Vibra en Alta Foundation.

With this program, more than 1,000 young people will receive tools to overcome learning barriers and excel. Together, we will focus on ensuring that schools in Medellín are safe, supportive spaces where young people develop knowledge, resilience, and optimism.

Vibra en Alta’s purpose is “to uplift individuals, so that they resonate with who they are,” regardless of their background or circumstances. According to the foundation, Vibra en Alta “emphasizes the significance of guiding young people along paths that enable them to resonate and connect with their authentic selves. As a foundation, we collaborate with organizations and projects that support children and young people in discovering and harnessing their talents to achieve their life goals.”

This program and partnership were made possible due to the generous support of I AM I World

Since 2007, Glasswing has reached more than 554,000 participants in educational and school-revitalization programs. Glasswing’s model significantly strengthens protective factors for children and youth ages 10 to 19. Eighty-eight percent of students in Community Schools programs improve their grades, while 90% improve their self-esteem, and absenteeism decreases by 23%.
