Mentorship for immigrant youth in NYC

We closed out an impactful 2022-23 school year last month in NYC. In addition to our after-school and in-school programs across 4 public high schools, this year we launched a virtual and in-person mentorship program for immigrant youth in NYC. For the past four months students paired with Morgan Stanley volunteers to increase their ability to develop better professional relationships.

In celebrating Morgan Stanley’s Global Volunteer Month, we held 2 volunteer events along with their staff, who supported students with career development master classes, interviewing skills workshops, and professional experiences firsthand. Along with tips and strategies to make a great first impression, how to prepare an elevator pitch, and develop interviewing skills, the participants were able to share their advice one on one with the youth and share with them how to build an impressive resume.
