Glasswing at the Skoll World Forum 2026: Connecting Ideas to Drive Global Change

The Skoll World Forum 2026 brought together more than 4,000 changemakers from over 100 countries in Oxford, creating a space to rethink how we strengthen individuals, communities, and systems in a global context marked by uncertainty.

From Local Innovation to Regional Impact

For the third consecutive year, our Co-Founder and President, Celina de Sola, served as an emcee of the event alongside Cheryl Dorsey, President of Echoing Green and member of the Skoll Foundation Board, sharing the stage with global leaders.

Drawing from Glasswing’s experience in Latin America and the Caribbean, Celina emphasized the importance of co-creating solutions with communities and the organizations and people closest to the work. Her participation echoed a sentiment shared across the forum: sustainable impact grows from within.

The forum also featured influential voices such as comedian and philanthropist Trevor Noah, who called for rethinking the role of businesses by emphasizing the importance of creating value for communities.

In addition, Ilwad Elman, from the Elman Peace and Human Rights Centre, joined a conversation moderated by journalist and Africa In the World founder Dele Olojede, where they explored how to move divided societies toward dialogue, belonging, and reconciliation, drawing on decades of lived peacebuilding experience.

Throughout the forum, learning and collaboration gave way to conversations that broaden perspectives and connections that strengthen collective commitment.

Beyond methodologies or approaches, one message stood out: the critical role of partnerships. From social leaders to representatives of governments, foundations, and businesses, the forum once again highlighted that today’s challenges require collective responses, grounded in trust, continuous learning, and knowledge exchange.

More Than a Forum: A Space to Imagine What’s Possible

With its continued participation, Glasswing reaffirms its commitment to continuous learning, collaboration, and the development of solutions that respond to the realities of communities. Over the years, Skoll has been a key partner for Glasswing — from receiving the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship in 2020 to ongoing collaboration — supporting our growth and strengthening our impact across the region. Because, in the end, it is spaces like these—and the connections they foster —that make change possible.

We are grateful to Skoll for continuing to bring together those who believe in the power of collective impact.
