Celina de Sola honored at the World Economic Forum in Davos

At the 2023 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, co-founder and president of Glasswing International, Celina de Sola, was presented with the prestigious Social Innovation Award by The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the World Economic Forum. Under Celina’s leadership, Glasswing has impacted over 1.6 million people across 14 countries, and built Glasswing to 600 employees and more than 142,000 volunteers. 

“The Social Innovators of the Year 2023 represent a generation of social and environmental change leaders who demonstrate that innovative models of cooperation and action across sectors are critical to making progress on the complex challenges we face,” said Hilde Schwab, Co-Founder and Chairperson of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.

This year’s World Economic Forum Annual Meeting marks the 25 Year Anniversary of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship. In 1998 Hilde Schwab, together with her husband Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, created the foundation to support new models for social change, combining values and dedication with the best business principles to create a more just, sustainable and equitable world.”We are so honored to receive this recognition from The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship at the World Economic Forum, and become part of this incredible community of catalysts,” said Celina. “Glasswing implements innovative education, health, and community empowerment programs. Our work in mental health is particularly crucial now, in confronting some of the world’s most complex and pressing challenges, including violence, migration, and the pandemic. Becoming part of this network will help us learn, build more partnerships, and continue to scale.”
