Glasswing’s Girls Clubs strengthen the social, health, and financial skills of girls who face extreme challenges such as poverty, violence, and isolation. Through this program, girls – between ages of 10 and 18 – meet with a group of peers, and mentor for 2 hours, each week, to learn and share each others’ experience, successes, and challenges. This not only creates a safe space and support network of friends and role models, but also builds their self-confidence, life skills, and helps them learn how to plan for their future, and generate income to help achieve their goals.
The Club helps girls aspire – a plan for – a bright future, and equips them with the skills to achieve it, helping to keep them safe, while preventing school dropout, teen pregnancy, and gender-based violence.
