Meet Gerson

Gerson, 25 years old, is a survivor of social violence. He was admitted to San Bartolo Hospital in San Salvador where he met a nurse who had been trained as a Sanando Heridas (Healing Wounds) interventionist. She tended to his physical injuries and also made him aware of the psychological and emotional effects an experience like this could have on his life, preparing him with tools to overcome this particular hardship and help him get back on his feet.
