Youth Build

Glasswing International works to address the needs of children and youth in the region by constructing specialized education initiatives, which work to build their capacities and life skills. Through our expertise in education, we partner with corporations and communities to identify how best to tackle existing educational challenges. Through YouthBuild (Jóvenes Constructores in Spanish), we leverage Catholic Relief Services’ methodology to work with disenfranchised 17-25 year old youth who are neither in school nor employed. The rigorous six-month program builds candidates’ life and employability skills, in addition to providing them with valuable vocational training. The program also works to better integrate youth in their communities through civic participation projects. Finally, upon graduation, the program aims to facilitate the candidates’ transition into the workforce or back into school.
