Despite having one of the most stable economies in Latin America, Panama’s population suffers from high inequality gaps in terms of access to health, quality education and opportunities for social, economic, and cultural advancement. In spite of significant gains in poverty reduction, four percent of the urban population and 27% of the rural population continue to live in extreme poverty. Critical improvements have been made to school enrollment levels, however, approximately 52% of students still do not enroll in university.

Since 2013, Glasswing Panama has implemented education, health, and community development programs and has had a presence in dozens of schools.
