Our Campaign
#ThisIsOurCommunity

Glasswing believes all children have the potential to succeeed, no matter where they are born.

Today, more children are fleeing their homes to escape unimaginable levels of poverty and violence. We need your support more than ever.

Now through June 30th, our goal is to ensure that over 20,000 students are able to say in school with access to opportunities and the support of a community that believes in them.

Together, we can transform the lives of children like Rosibel

Meet Rosibel. She is ten years old and a fifth-grade student at a Glasswing Community School.

After the typical four-hour school day ends, students like Rosibel usually go home because, as they say, the ''situation in the country is complicated.'' What this really means is that the staggering levels of violence make it difficult for kids like Rosibel to be kids. They can't go outside to play, they have to look over their shoulders on their walk to school, they have to be alert everywhere. This ''complicated situation'' often makes it difficult to concentrate in school. In fact, last year, Rosibel was failing many of her classes and on track to be left back.

Rosibel's enthusiastic Art and Discovery Club volunteers were determined to make sure she passed all her classes. Her volunteers became mentors who cared about her and helped her improve her grades. They made learning fun for Rosibel. Now, she attends school every day excited to learn. ''When I grow up, I want to be a teacher because I want to share what I’ve learned with others,'' she says.

Every child deserves a community that believes in them. #ThisIsOurCommunity
