On May 4th, over 5,000 young people from Central America came together for the Fourth Annual Generation Now Festival in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Glasswing and Televicentro, in partnership with Istmo Music, planned the event to celebrate and empower youth throughout the region by creating a safe space where they were able to enjoy performances by Colombian artists Mike Bahía, Alkilados, and other artists from the region, as well as learn how they could get involved and become agents of change in their communities.
This year, Glasswing celebrated its Fifth Annual Benefit Gala honoring John Moore, Head of Latin America at Morgan Stanley, at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City. It was our most successful Gala ever with over 400 of our supporters who came out to help us raise $1.1 million for children and youth in Latin America, the Caribbean, and New York City. Our co-chairs included Carmen Busquets & John Skipper, Jana Pasquel de Shapiro, Franck Petitgas, and Olivier Sarkozy. Welcoming remarks were given by special guest, Raúl de Molina from Univision’s top-rated show El Gordo y La Flaca. Other VIP guests included the US Ambassador to El Salvador Jean Manes, fashion designer Donna Karan, actress Mary-Kate Olsen, Elle magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia, and more.
