Parque Cuscatlán

Parque Cuscatlán is the largest park in the municipality of San Salvador, its name comes from Nahuat and means “place of precious things.” Thanks to the alliance between The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Mayor’s Office of San Salvador and Glasswing International, this public space was recovered with a focus on social inclusion and with the objective to contribute to the prevention of violence and citizen security. It had an investment of more than $ 10 million from The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the United States Government, through USAID, has also invested $ 7.4 million for the sustainability of this public space and the Mayor’s Office of San Salvador has allocated more than $ 4 million for complementary works.
