First Place in National Robotics Competition

Karen, Kevin, and Carlos are enrolled in the Glasswing Robotics Club at Jutta Steiner de Toruño Public School, located in Ciudad Arce, one of the municipalities of San Salvador, El Salvador with the highest index of violence. Earlier this year, the school became a Glasswing Community School. Seven extracurricular clubs were introduced, including the Robotics Club.

On October 6th, Karen, Kevin and Carlos had the honor of participating in the National Robotics Competition and they won the first place in the senior category where they competed with other 16 to 19-year-old youth. The first place winners have been invited to attend the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO), which will be held in Thailand on November 16th and 17th of this year. They hope to travel to Thailand, where they will have the opportunity to compete with other first place winners from different countries around the world.
